OMG UNB – CCOM UNH Multibeam Training Course

The OMG UNB – CCOM UNH Multibeam Training Course is far more than just about multibeam sonars? It’s best described as an intensive course on hydrographic and ocean mapping surveys using swath survey technology and techniques.

Over six days and 36 lectures, participants gain both theoretical foundations and practical insights into survey design, execution, and data processing. 

Course Highlights:

• Underwater acoustics, oceanography, geology, and hydrographic standards

• Multibeam and sidescan methods for seafloor imaging

• GNSS, inertial, and ancillary sensors for accurate positioning

• Seabed backscatter and seafloor characterization
