World Hydrography Day 2024 - Photo Contest
Description: Join us in commemorating World Hydrography Day, June 21, 2024, with our captivating photo contest! This contest aims to highlight the significance of hydrography and the intrinsic beauty of our oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, and other water sources.
Submission Guidelines:
- Originality: Only original photographs will be accepted. Please ensure that the submitted photo is your own work and has not been previously published or submitted to any other contest.
- Relevance: Your photo should align with the theme of the contest, showcasing the allure and importance of water bodies.
- Resolution: High-resolution images are preferred to ensure clarity and quality.
- Format: Submit your photo in JPEG or PNG format.
- Number of Entries: Each participant can submit a maximum of three photos.
- Caption: Along with each photo, provide a brief caption (maximum 50 words) explaining the significance or story behind the image.
Submission Process:
- Email your entries to [email protected] with the subject line "World Hydrography Day Photo Contest Entry."
- Include your name and contact information in the body of the email.
- Attach the photo files to the email (please ensure your First and Last name are in the file names).
Deadline: All entries must be submitted by June 19, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity: Uniqueness of the perspective and composition.
- Visual Impact: Aesthetic appeal and emotional resonance of the photograph.
- Relevance: How well the photo captures the essence of water bodies and their significance.
- Technical Quality: Clarity, sharpness, and overall technical excellence of the image.
Winner will receive a THSOA Hoodie!
Winners Announcement: The winner will be announced on June 21, 2024 via our website and social media channels. Winner will also be notified via email. The winning photo will also be highlighted during our upcoming All Hands Meeting on Thursday, June 27, 2024 @ 5pm EDT.
By submitting your entry, you agree to grant us the rights to use your photograph for promotional purposes related to the contest and World Hydrography Day.
